We may be in the midst of spring football, but Georgia Tech is still working hard to achieve its first goal for the 2025 class. However, this isn't just his 2025 class, the Yellow Jackets plan to take on recruits in his 2026 and his 2027 classes and continue to build relationships with them.
So, who will be performing at The Flats this weekend? Let's look at some names.
2027 DE Kwame KJ Green– Despite only being a freshman in 2023, Kwame “KJ” Green showed potential, recording 12 tackles and four sacks for a loaded Stevenson team that went 10-3. KJ Green is still a freshman, but he was invited to play against the Underclassmen against Florida in December. Green received his first offer from UAB last summer. He also recently received an offer from Tennessee State University on March 17th. Green is in his second season and already has impressive size at 210 pounds. A strong spring and summer could earn the rising sophomore even more attention in 2024.
2026 Defensive Lineman Aiden Cain– Kane continues to create quite a buzz for himself. It started at the Georgia Elite Classic in December, where he was recognized by ON3 Sports' Chad Simmons. Cain was also a standout at the recent Mansell/Chad Simmons MVP camp at Kingsridge Christian High School. He finished 2023 with 43 tackles, 18 pressures, six lost tackles and three sacks. He is difficult to move around and is a run stuffer in the ground game. Kane continues to improve his pass rush and will very likely have over 10 sacks in 2024. Kane recently posted a new PR in the men's shot put with a 42-2 record. As for recruiting, he has an offer from UMASS, Arkansas. The state and Bethune-Cookman date back to February. Cain also has an offer from Western Kentucky. He doesn't have an offer from Georgia Tech yet, but there's a good chance he gets one soon.
According to our own Arvon Bacon:
“With this visit, I look forward to building some new relationships and developing existing ones, getting a better feel for their campus and gauging their interest in me,” he said. .
When we asked Cain if he had any plans for future visits. The junior answered as he stood up.
“That's right, UAB Thursday, of course it's Tech Saturday!” he said.
Cain, a 6-foot-2, 250-pound defensive lineman, has quickly become a rising name in the recruiting field and was featured last weekend at Rusty Mansell and Chad Simmons' MVP camp at On3's/Dawgs headquarters. He was recognized as a top defensive lineman. .
2025 DB Julius Lane– Lane is a three-star player ranked No. 167 and No. 82 in the state of Alabama, according to 247Sports. Lane is a strong, physical corner and he loves to press and is good at it. He also loves to take big hits on opposing players when he goes downhill. He also has a knack for making big pass breakups and eliminating the football with perfect timing. Lane also impressed at the Under Armor Camp Series in Atlanta in February with his numerous plays with the ball and high-level defense. He has offers that include West Virginia, Mississippi State, UNLV, Austin Peay, UAB and Georgia Southern. Lane has visits to Tennessee, UAB and UCF remaining in the spring.
2025 Athlete Phoenix Felton– Felton has great size at 6'2, 195 pounds. Felton had a great 2023 season playing at Eagles Landing Christian in McDonough, Georgia.Used as a player by the Eagles
Felton earned reps at receiver and in the backfield offense. He's one of the players you always want to keep on the field. On the ground, he ran for 247 yards and two touchdowns. As a receiver, he had 31 catches for 489 yards and eight touchdowns. He also returned punts and kickoffs. In total, he recorded 1,143 all-purpose yards and 10 touchdowns.
His best game offensively was against Callaway, where he had almost as many catches as touchdowns. Felton finished the game with four catches for 155 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 39 yards. These great skills translate to the other side of the ball offensively and are part of what makes him special.
Felton is playing as a safety at the next level and is most impressive defensively. Felton recorded 90 tackles, five interceptions, one fumble recovery and one sack. He played his best soccer until the end. He recorded 10 or more tackles in a single game in four games in 2023, including three of his last five games. He also had an interception in his last three games.
2028 RB Michael Martin– Martin is a very young prospect who played baseball at Gainesville Middle School before moving to South Carolina. He had 1,202 all-purpose yards and 14 touchdowns in middle school last year, according to Prep Redzone. He is widely considered to be South Carolina's best running back in the 2028 class. He has already received major offers from Ole Miss, Duke, Arkansas, Miami, and others. Martin has already received invitations to compete in the US Army Bowl Combine and Under Armor Camp series this spring. Martin could make a name for himself quickly, especially if he excels as a freshman.
2027 Athlete Ethan Hauser is another young prospect with tremendous potential. Hauser could spend more time with the Buford Wolves on the varsity level next season. He could play on both sides of the field, similar to how he played wide receiver and safety in middle school. As a wide receiver, he has very strong hands and already has good size at 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds. Defensively, he is expected to be a long, long safety who can stay on that side of the field and make plays with the ball. Hauser is in his second season and currently holds offers from UCF and Tennessee State. Although he does not have an offer from Georgia Tech, Hauser has already visited campus multiple times and continues to build a relationship with the coaching staff.
2026 LB/DE Shadarius Toodle will play at Cottage Hill Christian Academy in Mobile, Alabama. Toodle both sides of the ball. Offensively, he led the team with 488 yards rushing and nine touchdowns. Last season, he had three games in which he scored two or more touchdowns. He was also a force on defense, finishing his sophomore season with 103 tackles and 10 sacks (his team highs). Toodle is a good all-around linebacker who can play in coverage, downhill, and stuff the run. He has great instincts and can make plays from sideline to sideline. He's great at getting off blocks, using his explosiveness to build up tackles for loss, and knowing what the offense is going to do. Toodle holds his 20 offers from Florida, Auburn, Baylor, Georgia Tech, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Oregon and South Carolina, among others. He received an offer from the Yellow Jackets in January and this will be his first time coming to campus in 2024. Toodle is a highly coveted prospect.
