The first four games of the Sweet 16 were played Thursday night, with several contests coming down to the wire.
NBA draft prospects continue to litter the field, hoping to boost their stock with a final push for a national title.
Here are some of Thursday night's top performances.
Stephon Castle, U.S.C.
Castle was arguably the most impressive of the NCAA Tournament, scoring 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting Thursday night in a close 30-point contest.
Impressively, he grabbed 11 rebounds and showed his potential to be a strong wing in an all-around performance for the Huskies.
PJ Hall, Clemson
Hall delivered his best performance of the tournament on Thursday, helping the team defeat second-seeded Arizona.
The senior finished with 17 points, eight rebounds and one steal on 7-of-15 field goals in 31 minutes. His influence as a big is being felt, and he himself may be playing from the fringe first round to near lock.
In the Elite 8, Hall will face a tough matchup against the University of Alabama.
Terrence Shannon Jr., Illinois
Perhaps no player had a bigger impact on the night than Shannon, who finished with an astounding 29 points on 10-of-19 shooting. He made 4 of 10 triples and added five rebounds, three steals and two assists to help No. 3 Illinois defeat No. 2 Iowa State.
The University of Illinois will face UConn in the Elite 8 in what should be a battle of the best remaining teams.
