Fighters competing in the inaugural PBC pay-per-view event available on Prime Video, featuring four world title fights, will be competing in the ring this Saturday, March 30th, before stepping into the ring from T-Mobile Arena. They met Thursday at their final press conference. Las Vegas.
Tim Tzu vs. Sebastian Fundora
(WBO/WBC super welterweight title)
Tim Tze: “The show goes on and fate awaits. Saturday night will be about fighting for belts. Collecting belts and collecting legacies. We know that the Tszyu name belongs to the greatest boxing family of all time. I'm going to prove it… Of course he has the height, but we all bleed the same blood. There's no difference between us. I love Mike Tyson and everything he did in this fight. I'm inspired by…This is the first step to where I want to be. There's going to be a lot of big superfights in the near future.”
Sebastian Fundora: “This is my moment and time to become world champion. Six months ago my sister did it for me, but now it's my turn…I expect the best from Tim Tse. It's the best fight you can have in the division. He's currently No. 1 and Saturday night we'll crown a new champion.”
Laurie Romero vs. Isaac Cruz
(WBA super lightweight title)
Laurie Romero: “Everyone thinks this is going to be a hard fight, but I think this is going to be an easy fight. He's going to hit something right away, because he's stupid…throw and throw. He'll do it again and again. I'm ready…I won't give you the belt, but I'll give you the chain of the Chihuahua after the game.”
Isaac Crews: “If he thinks I'm stupid, he's even stupider. If he thinks I'm just going to lie down, he's so wrong. Julio Cesar Martinez vs. Angelino Cordova
(Won WBC flyweight title)
Julio Cesar Martinez: “I'm ready to fight anyone at any time. I say it all the time, and I mean it. Everyone will know what I mean Saturday night…I want to give the fans a great fight. I want to deliver. I'm leaving 1000 percent ready, and there will be fireworks.
Angelino Cordova: “No matter what Martinez brings, I'm ready. I'm very confident in myself and all the training I've been doing for this fight.”
