Now that the winter state tournament is officially over, it's time to take another look around before spring sports take the spotlight.
It's been a great year for the South Shore High School girls hockey team.
Duxbury was the only local team to win it all at TD Garden, winning its second straight Division 2 title. In Division 1, Notre Dame Academy lost in a triple OT thriller. There was no shortage of interesting storylines in the region up to the states. In the finals, a senior-less Archbishop Williams team punched its way to the Division 1 Final Four as Milton edged Pembroke in the Division 2 Elite Eight on Molly Murphy's biggest goal of her career.
Murphy and Archbishop Williams' Caroline Batchelder are two of the 10 candidates for postseason player of the year. From sharp-shooting wingers to reliable goaltenders, there are many deserving players. Please vote below.
Voting will be open until April 8th.
