After missing their scheduled boys soccer season opener on Tuesday, the Greene County Rams will begin their 2024 season at home tonight. Coach Carl Boehne's team will host Central Iowa United (West Marshall) at Lindaska Field, with a varsity contest starting at 6 p.m., followed by a co-op game.
Coach Boehne told Raccoon Valley Radio that he loved watching his team play in the always competitive program's scrimmage last Saturday in Denison vs. Denison vs. Schleswig.
The Rams will return All-State player Gesser Gutierrez, one of the state's top goal scorers, to the first team in 2023, four-year starter Gabe Ebersole, and numerous other starters and past letters. Winners will also return.
