Johns talks about key moments of the game
“The biggest surprise for me was that he was timing my power shots. I'm not going to lie, throughout my career people have been telling me to take a break from my shots. But I'm a little hard-headed. So when I go out I want to take people's heads off and I was expecting a longer fighter. I expected him to reach up to the top and try to catch me trying to cross. But to my surprise, he rolled under my shot. I didn't expect it to be there. I felt like I needed to improve on that.”
Johns goes far
“I just want to make a statement about my cardio. People have always wondered, 'What about his cardio?' Against a guy who uses pressure to break people down and uses cardio to break people down, I came here on (short notice) notice, and I showed that I can survive two and a half weeks' notice. I just wanted to. If you can do that, give me six weeks. Give me eight weeks and I'll date anyone. ”
Johns talks about what he wants next.
“I want to be back here soon. I've said his name before. I have a lot of respect for the guy. He's a family man. He's a great The fighter: Ayeman Zahavi. He's on a four-fight win streak in the UFC. I was really impressed with his last fight (Javid) Basharat. I think it's going to be a great fight. We both work together. Here we are – four wins in a row is big. We’re on a three-game winning streak. When I say two, it’s actually three.
“I think Ricky Simon would be a great match. He's No. 15. I think he's about ready to get his number. I mean, one of those guys or someone else. Sean Shelby does a great job, so let’s take a look.”
