Many Katy ISD players were named to both the Texas Soccer Coaches Association Class 6A All-State and All-Region teams led by Seven Lakes, with the boys and girls teams competing in the state tournament and the boys team winning. state title.
The Spartans boys team led the way, with four players named to the all-state team and three to the first team.
Ben Aviles Vela was named first team all-state as a goalkeeper and Aidan Morrison was named first team all-state in midfield. Koltai Koch was a first-team all-state selection at forward and Noah Stasic was a second-team all-state selection.
Cinco Ranch's Noah Machert was named All-State Honorable Mention as a goaltender, and Osian Elgstrom was selected to the first team as a defender. Jordan's Chris Segura also was named All-State as a second-team defender, and Tompkins' Adetola Fasad received All-State Honorable Mention as a defender. Jordan's Marcelo Ojeda was named second team all-state in midfield, and Cinco Ranch's Andres Riera earned honorable mention all-state honors in forward.
Tompkins goalie Alonso Bastela earned All-Region second team honors, Cinco Ranch's Adrian Correa was named All-Region first team in midfield, Paetou's Cesar Garcia was named second team; Jordan's Ryan Armijo joined them in midfield. Tompkins' Brayden Lehner was selected to the second team and earned All-Region honorable mention. Jordan's Aiden Errol, a forward, was selected to the All-Region First Team and was joined by Tompkins' Roman Ryabchenko, who was also named to the All-Region First Team.
On the girls side, Seven Lakes led the way with two girls named to the All-State team, with two girls named Kennedy Reed and Olivia Orellana earning first-team and second-team All-State honors, respectively. Both were defenders. Tompkins' Regan Coombs joined the team as an all-state selection and earned first-team honors at midfield.
Jordan's Laila Katz was named first team all-region, joined by Audrina Johnson on defense, and Tompkins' sophomore was named honorable mention. Seven Lakes' Wagoner-Tausen was named first-team All-Region in midfield along with Jordan's Ella Bizzell and Madison Lambert, who both earned honorable mention, and Tompkins' Naomi Medeiros was named Second-Team All-Region in forward. was selected.
The Seven Lakes coaches were also rewarded for their hard work this season.
