Christian Ward is a name that is starting to gain traction in the recruiting process and was at The Flats yesterday. Ward weighs 185 pounds. He visited Georgia State in late March and left campus with an offer. He also visited Georgia State University and received an offer from head coach Del McGee and the Panthers in mid-March. Schools in the state have very high ratings for Ward, and he currently has 17 offers from major D1 programs looking to acquire his services.
Ward first received an offer from Georgia Tech last October. When Georgia Tech had a big conference win over North Carolina, he visited on the day of the game. Mr. Ward shared his impressions of a recent visit to the Flats on Saturday.
“Technology was great. Great scrimmage, very competitive. I like their offense and their balance. The coaches are great and I'm looking forward to growing my relationship with them.” I can't wait to be there again during the game season.'' Ward said.
Ward has already been invited to and participated in several major camps this offseason. He competed in the national championships in Texas in January. Ward also attended the Under Armor camp in Atlanta in February. Most recently, he was invited to the Rivals Camp Series in Atlanta on April 21st.
Ward is currently rated as a three-star recruit by ON3 Sports and could very well be a leading name at the receiver position in the 2026 class. What's most impressive about him is that he doesn't need many touches to influence the game. He also has great versatility and can play defense alongside X, Y, or Z. He will be a key piece for the Carrollton Trojans as they aim for a state championship in 2024.
Georgia Tech continues to build its 2025 class, and this weekend will bring Cass Ian Williams (Georgia State), Mohler, Jonah Hayes (Ohio State), Gainesville Xavier Griffin (Georgia State), S.W. -DeKalb Brandon Gunn (Georgia) has made an additional offer to St. Thomas Aquinas. Richard Scott (Florida), Max Hunt of the Plant Panthers (Florida).
