Rutgers Football has officially added New Jersey offensive lineman Maren Bright to its already crowded recruitment.
Bright, a 2026 offensive lineman from DePaul Catholic (Wayne, N.J.), drew an official offer from Rutgers during a visit for spring practice on Saturday. The 6-foot-6, 260-pound offensive tackle already has offers from Boston College, Duke University, Illinois, Penn State, Syracuse, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
Some of the area's best recruits attended Rutgers for spring practice on Saturday.
Bright is expected to be one of the top offensive tackles in the nation this fall before heading into his senior season. He is explosive at left tackle, coming out of his stance with ease and showing power and physicality.
He didn't let go until the whistle blew and finished his block.
He certainly has some very strong components to his game going into his junior season.
Bright tweeted about the offer on Saturday after his official visit. The social media post tagged Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano, his father, DePaul's X account, and Ratish Kinsler.
Kinsler, who excelled at the University of Cincinnati, is currently an advisor to NIL and a mentor to some of the region's top prospects.
