One of the best 50m flyers in the world and three-time World Championship medalist Melanie Enik won the final with ease. By the halfway point, she had opened up a half-length lead over her nearest rival. Enik stayed strong until the end, touching the wall in 25.60 seconds, nearly a second ahead of Mati Ndiyoye-Brouard, to take the easy win.

The result was never in doubt. The only question was how fast. Marchand had to face the challenge of swimming the 200 butterfly and the 200 breaststroke twice on the same day. Marchand started in 54.54, finished in 29.31 and 30.23, and hit the wall in 1:54.08. Though slower than his national record, the swim appears to be his third-fastest swim after his 1:53.43 in Fukuoka and his 1:53.37 at the 2022 World Championships in Budapest, and is also a new meet record. The swim propels him to fourth place in the world rankings.
