Tucker Forrest, G, Sr., Gonzaga State
His 92.5 percent save percentage contributed to the Eagles' success. Nowhere was his confidence under pressure more evident than in the MAPHL title game against St. John's, where Forrest made over 30 saves to secure the victory.
Samuel Hozier, D, Jr., Wootton
The all-time top-scoring defenseman in the Maryland Collegiate Hockey League, he had eight hat tricks and led a coordinated back line with impact play and razor-sharp shooting accuracy.
Carter Johnson, F, Jr., St. John's
Averaging more than two points per league game, his consistency under pressure and effort on the forecheck made him a valuable addition to the team that won the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championship and finished runner-up in the MAPHL. He became one of the most powerful threats in the area.
Connor McCarthy, F, Sr., Georgetown Prep
An offensive jack-of-all-trades, McCarthy has put together a gritty top line for the Little Hoyas. One of the MAPHL's top scorers, he distinguished himself with his ability to create scoring opportunities for his teammates, make accurate passes, set up rebounds, and find lanes through the chaos in front of the net.
Noah Scheinerman, F, Sr., Langley
He helped inject new energy as the leading scorer for a powerhouse Northern Virginia Scholastic Hockey League team on a team that hadn't lost in more than two years. His fast and physical skating helped the Saxons win their third consecutive title.
Kelly Thompson, D, Sr., St. John's
Thompson used his size and experience to initiate strong body checks and lead a deep roster. His ability to adjust his defensive strategy mid-game contributed to the Cadets' eight shutouts.
Cameron Westlake, F, Sr., Centennial (Wolves)
Westlake led the MSHL with 54 points thanks to his sniper-like slap shot and clean style of play that kept him out of the penalty box. The constant pressure he applied often forced opposing defenses to change their strategies.
Keogh, the undisputed champion in the NVSHL and leading the league's most decorated team, has found a way to help his players overcome the pressure of living up to the Saxons' impressive record. He did it by focusing on the details and emphasizing the importance of every pass, rebound, shot and one-on-one duel. He led the team to its fourth title in six years and a whopping 34 straight wins.
